An early career in the marketing and design industry working with the worlds largest adult beverage brands, set the foundation that would eventually lead to him joining the team that founded Nantahala Brewing.
In the early days of the company, he developed the breweries branding, marketing and sales tools by night and aided in the construction of the space by day.
Today, Joe wears many hats including managing brewery operations, marketing, design, public relations, ongoing construction projects and beer sales.

An engineer with an MBA in Marketing, Ken has been involved in a wide range of successful ventures including engineering, construction, food & beverage and now craft brewing.
By fate, he happened upon our current brewing system during a conversation with the owners of R.J. Rockers Brewing in Spartenburg, SC. who were completing a major expansion back in 2009.
He splits his time between Greenville, SC and Charleston, SC where his to primary businesses are located. Although, on occasion, you might find him enjoying one of our beers with friends at the Tap Room.

Mad Zymologist (Brewmaster)
An industrial engineer by education, Greg found himself hunched over a kettle brewing craft concoctions at the University of Florida before he could even buy beer.
Fast forward seventeen years, and you might have shared a camp fire with him on the Appalachian Trail during a hiatus from his engineering job. Little did he know that a few months later he'd stumble off the trail and back to Bryson City where he hit the "Trail Lottery" and become our Brewmaster.
If he's not in the brewery trenches, you can find him out on a trail in the Smokys or sifting through buckets of dirt in search of something shiny.

Tap Room Wrangler
After being raised in Georgia, Jenn headed for the Rockies in the late-90s in search of big adventure and even bigger mountains to climb. While in Colorado, when she wasn't tackling 14k peaks, she got her first taste of craft beer at some of the state's early breweries like the Dillon Dam Brewery in Summit County.
After returning east in 2002, Jenn joined Outward Bound, the prestigious outdoor leadership pioneer and worked her way up the ranks at outposts in Florida and South Carolina.
In 2009, she took a position at the Nantahala Outdoor Center and moved to Bryson City where she eventually found her way to our brewery.
Today, she uses her leadership, management and communication skills earned in the wilderness to manage our Tap Room.

Originally from upstate South Carolina, Casey has a very traveled, colorful background and a diverse skill set to go with it. She made her way to the mountains in 2010 and quickly became a regular face at the brewery.
Casey joined our crew in 2011 and quickly became a valuable member of our team. In August 2012, a merch shop was added to the Tap Room and she stepped up and took over merchandising, inventory management and all things Merch.
Today, she continues to bartend by night and handle our merchandising by day.
